Dalgado

What we think

We asked Dalgado co-founder Jan Juëlicher: why belts? “The answer is simple" he says; “Belts are mainly treated as a functional side-product, rather than a respectable accessory capable of making a statement. It’s time to change that notion.” Sometimes the things we -or our wardrobes- can't function without are those we easily forget. Having built its stellar repute entirely on belts and gloves, Dalgado is challenging the norm - and it's not waisting any time.

A TALE WORTH TELLING

Their story

“Our very identity is based on the philosophy of slow fashion: longevity, highest quality and timeless designs. That, and an undying love for details.” Meet Dalgado, the German craftsmanship brand trying to make a difference - and succeeding beautifully - one belt at a time. Born from a lassitude towards excessive markups on quality products and lack of disclosure regarding input materials (but moreover, a great idea), the brand is a refreshing new advocate for authentic, qualitative craftsmanship and environmental responsibility.

QUALITY IN THE MAKING

The process

Working collaboratively with some of the best heritage tanneries and manufactories in Europe, Dalgado brings more to the table than a handful of its exquisite belts. In everything it does, the brand is proudly obsessed with its mission: sourcing the finest materials available to create durable products and respecting the environment at all times. From the family-run factories it works with to the very courier service it employs to transport goods, every step in Dalgado’s chain supports climate protection and responsible innovation.
